Finally, racing is back on again, actually it started last weekend with some great racing at Daytona, the Rolex 24 hours. However, IMHO we got suckered on a great finish when the race control messed things up, bye throwing the checkred before the race time has expired!! (IMSA statment on the right).
This week it’s time again for the Busch Light Clash at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Not mush els going on, but if you are following AMA Supercross, the racing from Detroit, is on NBC, Saturday 3:00 PM.
Earlier this year NASCAR announced some updates to the rules, those “tweaks” has as usual been reported elsewhere. I’m not going to say much about them. However, I am looking forward to seeing how the new aero package for short tracks and road courses plays out!

Per Jayski: The previously scheduled heat races and LCQ have been cancelled.
Starting positions for The Clash will be determined by the fastest 22 speeds in the final practice. The 23rd position will be based on last year driver points.
Due to the forecast of incoming inclement weather and out of concern for fan safety, NASCAR has announced that its historic doubleheader, originally scheduled for Sunday at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, will be run tonight.
The NASCAR Cup Series’ Busch Light Clash will now run at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET on FS1, followed by the NASCAR Mexico Series’ King Taco LA Batalla en El Coliseo.
Bob Pockrass Twitter: No heats. No LCQ. P&Q — three groups, three sessions apiece. First two sessions 8 minutes. Final session for each group, the group will be split in half based on owner points for 4 minutes to determine their qualifying speed. Top-22 speeds in, one 2023 driver points provisional.
