Week 33 race schedule is packed with racing from NASCAR, Supercars and NTT IndyCar Series – Indy 500 practice and qualification. All NASCAR Series are included this weekend and they will all race at the Daytona Road Cource for the first time (ARCA, Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series, Xfinity Series and Cup Series). The schedule will also include three races in the Virgin Australia Supercars Series at Hidden Valley Raceway located south of Darwin, Australia. The 104th running of the Indianapolis 500 race builds up with practice sessions and qualifications Wednesday – Sunday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Per Jayski; Wet Weather Tires – White-lettered tires on hand: Goodyear will bring its wet weather radials for use by teams in all NASCAR series on the Daytona road course, should NASCAR decide that conditions warrant . . . teams in each series are allowed up to two sets of “wets” for their race . . . this tire was last run by NASCAR Xfinity Series teams at Road America last week . . . in addition to the obvious difference of a tread pattern versus Goodyear’s dry weather “slick” tires, the “Goodyear” and “Eagle” lettering on the sidewalls of the wet weather tires is white, not the standard yellow.
