NASCAR will this week make an extra stop in Allen Township, Darke County, Ohio at Eldora Speedway – “the Big E”. NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will do their annual dirt race here at Eldora Speedway and the other NASCAR Series will have to wait for the weekend. Eldora Speedway opened for racing in 1954. The track is oval shaped and is 0,804 km (0.5 mile) long. Surface is clay with four turns. Banking in turns are 24 degrees and in the straights 8 degrees . Lap record is held by Craig Dollansky with 0:12.707 in 2002 ( World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series). The stands currently capacity are 17 905 seats.
