NASCAR will this weekend travel to Lincoln, Alabama for a doubleheader at Talladega Superspeedway. NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and Sprint Cup Series will both race this weekend while the Xfinity Series is off. Talladega Superspeedway, formely known as Alabama International Motor Speedway (AIMS) opened for racing in 1969. The track is tri-oval shaped and is 4.28 km (2.666 mile) long. Surface is paved with four turns. Banking in turns are 33°, frontstretch 16.5° and backstretch 2°. Track record, for NASCAR Series, is held by Bill Elliott with 212.809 mph (44.998 sec.) in April 30, 1987. The stands currently capacity are 78 000 seats.
